Another huge step forward for VAUX, as the Public Sector Hub is granted planning consent.
The Chief Executive Officer of Siglion, John Seager, said: “This is fantastic news for both VAUX and Sunderland. It highlights Sunderland’s drive to succeed and sends out a signal to all investors.”
Stretched across two plots of the overall masterplan, leading architecture practice FaulknerBrowns have designed a building which aims to deliver an engaging, flexible, modern workspace. The design comprises of two blocks linked together by a glazed atrium, acting as a public thoroughfare on the ground floor which will be activated through shared community facilities.
Siglion, working in close partnership with the City Council and other public sector service providers, has secured occupiers for the majority of the space in the building – creating a major hub for public sector service providers in the heart of Sunderland City Centre.
A positive step forward for the regeneration of the VAUX site.
